VASCO will officially open new flight connecting Can Tho with Con Dao (Ba Ria – Vung Tau) from the 1st of June 2011. The plan openning the flight connecting Can Tho with Con Dao is in Vietnam Airlines’ policy enlarging national flight network connecting areas nationwide.

     Together with the fact that Can Tho is a dynamic and developing city and Mekong Delta’s economic centre, the policy of enlarging flights to/from Can Tho will continue promoting the city’s role which is the main connection point to other locals in the region.
At the present, Can Tho had connected to other destinations such as Ha Noi, Phu Quoc… adding the new flight connecting Can Tho with Con Dao is a great significant in developing economy, social of the locals in specific and country in general.
According to the plan, VASCO will operate 4 flights per week for Can Tho – Con Dao flight on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday by new ATR72-500 airplane, estimated time is 40 minutes each route.
During the early time, VASCO will apply different pomotion fare from 600.000VND/trip. Customers can buy tickets at ticket office, official agents of VASCO and at Vietnam Airlines’ ticket office and agents nationwide.
In 2004, VASCO started to operate HCM – Con Dao flight route with 4 flights per week by the aircraft with 25 seats. After 6 years of operating, customers flying on this route has been increasing from 40% to 45% every year and the frequency of operating now is from 24 to 28 flights per week ( 3 to 4 flights per day) by 65-seat-ATR72-500 aircraft.
VASCO hopes that the new flight Con Dao – Can Tho will grow rapidly in the coming time.
